Shamanic Meditation Tea Recipe

An herbal tea recipe to aide in spirit journey meditations

Ingredients:

Instructions:

Mix equal parts of hand rolled green tea, jasmine flowers and lemongrass with half part of Mug Wort herb. Use dry product and blend together in an airtight container.

To make a tea with the blend, simply use 2 teaspoons per 12 Oz. mug or 3 level tablespoons per small tea pot. Steep in boiling (200 degrees) water for 5 minutes, strain and enjoy with honey or sugar to taste.

Warning: Do not operate machinery or drive while consuming Mug Wort herb. If you are pregnant or nursing please avoid using this product.

Medicinal Uses:

Mug Wort is purely spiritual and has been used to aid in deep trance/meditation for 1000’s of years.

Lavender is a mild sedative in large quantities and is great for curbing digestive issues and helping a person go to sleep, to sleep better and wake more rested. It is also great for anxiety and stress treatment.

Lemongrass is antiviral, anti-fungal, antispasmodic, is great for relieving flatulence, cramping, and other digestive issues. It has calming properties and so is great to relieve depression, stress and anxiety and will stop baby colic in its tracks. Lemongrass has been used to treat cold and flu in the holistic world for 1000’s of years.

Jasmine is a mild sedative in large quantities and is a perfect herb to treat all digestive ailments. It opens the third eye and will produce calm feelings in all people. It treats insomnia, focus issues and can be used as a wound cleanse because it has antimicrobial properties.

Green tea has been used for centuries for weight loss, digestive ailment treatment, and appetite stimulant, life prolonging, and eliminating the body of free radicals. It is the go to base for all meditation and weight loss teas.

Meditation Use:

Shamanic meditations, especially for spirit journeys, involve some deep trance states. Certain herbs can help get you into these states when consumed at high doses. This tea blend uses Mug Wort herb, which has been used for centuries to aid those seeking to enter trance and connect deeper with the spirit world.

When you plan to enter a meditation trance you need to consume at least 1 cup of this tea 30 minutes before. Once you feel the effects of the relaxing Jasmine flowers you are ready to sit or lie in meditation to enter your Shamanic trance. The psychedelic effects of this herb can last for 30 minutes. You should also heighten the effects of this tea by burning some fresh mug wort as an incense.

Some people will choose to smoke the mug wort herb before meditation as well as consume the tea, this is fine and acts similar to when you burn mug wort as an incense. At any rate, these rituals about 30 minutes before sitting or lying for the meditation.

Mug wort can be burned as incense or smoked to help you go into a deeper meditation or trance state. It’s not a plant that makes you high actually; but it seems to open a more direct connection to the spirit world. Its a successful practice to blend it with other herbs such as sage, mullein, and mother wort for incense or even for smoking.
